The Gem Slicer Standard and Mini cover most slicing work. When they do not, we modify one or build a machine to your specification. That covers a larger specimen, a different wire, or a production line rather than a single saw. The people who designed the standard machines do the work, and the same parts, warranty and remote support apply.
What We Change on a Standard Machine
- Cutting length and height, for specimens the standard frames do not take
- Wire: the machines accept 0.1 to 0.8 mm, on an open-loop spool or a 1.6 m closed loop
- Specimen mounting, for awkward shapes and heavy blocks
- Software parameters set for your material before the machine ships
Machines Built from Scratch
When the job is outside what a Gem Slicer frame can be stretched to, we design the machine around it. We are currently developing an industrial-class diamond wire saw for long materials, such as bars and press-brake tooling cut into sections.
Cutting Farms
Several saws running in parallel, each on its own cutting queue, all watched from one screen. Every Gem Slicer already has Wi-Fi, LAN, an integrated camera and remote access. A farm is therefore a layout and a plan, not a different machine. We help with the floor layout, the calibration of each saw and the cutting parameters for your material.

Support at a Distance
With your permission, and only then, we connect to the machine, look at the parameters and the camera, and tell you what to change. Operator training is online. Parts go out the same day: next day inside the EU, three days to Madagascar or the USA. Two-year warranty worldwide.
How a Custom Project Starts
- Tell us the material, the specimen size, the slice thickness and the volume.
- We tell you honestly whether a standard machine already does it. It often does, and it is cheaper.
- If it does not, you get the specification, price and lead time in writing before any deposit.
