Machinery, Precision & Customization

What types of materials can your machines process?

Our machines are engineered for cutting, grinding, and polishing extremely hard, rare, and high-value materials. This includes meteorites, precious and semi-precious gemstones, technical ceramics, and specialized industrial minerals where absolute precision and minimal material waste (kerf loss) are critical.

How precise is the cut, and what is the kerf loss?

Our diamond wire saws position the X axis to a resolution of 0.02 mm, and typical slice tolerance is ±0.05 mm at 2 mm slice thickness. The minimum slice thickness we have verified in practice is 0.25–0.3 mm, cut repeatedly in brittle stone meteorite. Kerf equals the diameter of the wire you use — 0.22 mm with the wire supplied with the machine, against 1.5–3 mm for a conventional blade. This ensures maximum yield from your raw materials.

Do you build custom machines tailored to specific needs?

Yes. While we offer well-established standard models, our core strength is manufacturing flexibility. We can modify our existing equipment or engineer a completely new machine from the ground up based on your exact technical specifications and production requirements.

What is a “cutting farm” and can you build one for me?

A cutting farm is a synchronized setup of multiple autonomous machines designed for large-scale, continuous industrial production. We have the capacity to design, manufacture, and integrate complete turnkey cutting farms customized to optimize your workflow.

Technical Setup & Hardware

What are the power and water requirements for the machines?

Our machines are designed for global compatibility with a 110~240V Auto-switch, meaning they can be plugged into standard outlets worldwide. They also feature a self-contained water management system with a powerful water pump and a two-stage purification system to recycle coolant and maintain wire longevity.

How much diamond wire does a machine hold?

The spool capacity depends on the model. The Gem Slicer Standard holds an 80-meter diamond wire spool, while compact models like the Gem Slicer Mini hold a 30-meter spool.

Can I use closed-loop (endless) diamond wire?

Yes, on both models. The saw ships set up for open-loop wire on a spool, 0.22 mm. The changeover adapter is currently in preparation — the machine itself has been built for closed-loop wire since our first model, so this is a part we supply rather than a modification, and we will confirm timing if you tell us you need it. The changeover itself takes about five minutes with the two ER32 spanners that come with every machine. The loop is 1.6 m on the Gem Slicer Standard and 1 m on the Gem Slicer Mini, and the two are not interchangeable, so a workshop running both models keeps two spares. Closed-loop wire is 0.6 mm, so the kerf in that mode is wider than the 0.22 mm figure. We supply both wire types.

Smart Technology & Operation

How does the remote control (IoT) functionality work?

Our smart machines are internet-enabled and connect seamlessly via Wi-Fi. Using our intuitive software, integrated web camera, and AnyDesk secure connection, you can monitor the live video feed and control the entire cutting process from anywhere in the world via your smartphone or PC.

What is the “Anti-tummy” feature?

This is a proprietary, intelligent function built into our software for processing extremely hard materials. It occasionally pauses the downward Z-axis feed without stopping the spinning reel. This allows the diamond wire to clear any uncut material, guaranteeing a perfectly straight and flawless slice every time.

Can the machines really operate autonomously 24/7?

Absolutely. They are built for maximum workload and continuous operation. Integrated onboard computers and advanced sensors constantly monitor the workflow, ensuring flawless and safe operation around the clock without the need for constant human supervision.

Is the operating software difficult to learn?

Not at all. We specifically designed our interface to be clean and highly intuitive via an integrated touch panel. Operator training is fast and straightforward, requiring no prior specialized qualifications in programming or advanced CNC operation. Furthermore, the software receives Over-the-Air (OTA) updates via the internet to ensure you always have the latest features.

Shipping, Warranty, Support & Orders

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide. Currently, Next Equipment machinery is operating successfully in 15 countries across 4 continents, including major markets like the EU and the USA, as well as specialized mining destinations like Madagascar, Morocco, and Chile.

What kind of warranty and technical support do you provide?

We stand behind our engineering with a 2-year full international warranty on all our machines, applicable to both corporate clients and private individuals. Beyond the hardware, we provide comprehensive online operator training to get your team up to speed quickly and safely.

Can you assist us remotely if we are cutting a challenging material?

Absolutely. Once you grant us authorized remote access to your machine, our technical team provides direct online assistance. We can monitor the machine’s parameters in real-time, offer expert advice on optimal cutting strategies for different materials, and help your operators adapt faster to the software interface for maximum efficiency.

Where can I buy replacement diamond wire and consumables?

We supply high-quality diamond wire and lapidary consumables perfectly calibrated for our machines. (Note: Our dedicated online store is launching soon. In the meantime, please include consumable requests in your direct inquiry).

How long does it take from order to delivery?

Up to two months from your deposit to dispatch, and it is the same for both models. Machines are ordered with a 50% deposit by bank transfer, with the balance due before dispatch — you are not asked to pay for the whole machine up front and then wait. One of those weeks is your own machine running: every saw is tested for 168 hours before it leaves us, with the final runs done dry so it does not arrive already dirty from our bench. It is then cleaned completely and checked part by part — every sensor, every motor, the linear guides and the play on each axis. Shipping time on top depends on where you are: roughly a week to Madagascar or the USA, including export paperwork.

How do I request a quote or purchase a machine?

Because our machinery is highly specialized and often custom-made, we do not sell directly through a simple online checkout. Please reach out to contact us at office@nextequipment.eu with the details of your project. Our engineering team will review your requirements and provide a customized quote.
