Gem Slicer Standard diamond wire saw installed in a laboratory, with spools of diamond wire on the shelving behind it

Next Equipment is a brand of Meteorites Ltd. It started in Sofia in 2016, with one person and an idea that a saw could take almost nothing out of the stone. The company’s registered seat is now in Silistra. We design and build diamond wire saws, polishing machines and lapidary equipment, and we ship them worldwide.

Made by Cutters, for Cutters

We did not arrive at diamond wire from a machine-tool background and go looking for an application. We came to it from the other side: from cutting stone, and from the specific frustration of watching expensive material disappear into a saw blade.

A conventional blade takes 1.5 to 3 mm out of your specimen on every pass. Our wire takes 0.22. On a rare meteorite or a good piece of tourmaline that is not a specification, it is the difference between a slice you can sell and dust on the workshop floor. Every design decision in our machines comes back to that number.

What We Build

Diamond wire saws in two sizes, a bench-top and a floor-standing one, both running the same control software. Polishing machines. Accessories and consumables for both. The saws are used in metallography and petrography laboratories, in alloy quality control, in universities, by jewellers and by dealers cutting meteorite and mineral specimens.

Most of what goes into a machine we make ourselves. What we buy in is standard and available anywhere — the bearings are a size you can find in any bearing shop in any country. That is deliberate, and it is the same reasoning as the rest of our service model: a machine that can only be repaired by its manufacturer is a machine that stops working when the manufacturer does.

How We Support What We Sell

The saw is designed never to come back to us. We ship the part, you fit it, and we are on the machine over AnyDesk if you want us there. Parts go out the same day — next day inside EU zone 1, three days to Madagascar, three days to the USA.

Two-year warranty on every machine, for every customer, anywhere. Software support and cutting advice for the life of the machine.

Why We Do It the Hard Way

Our motto is that we do it not because it is easy, but because it is hard. Building a precision instrument in a small workshop, supporting it across four continents from Bulgaria, and refusing to make it dependent on us for spare parts — none of that is the simple route. It is the one that produces a machine worth owning ten years from now.
